How it works

Attendance percentage is calculated with a simple formula: divide classes attended by total classes held, then multiply by 100. For example, if 36 classes were held and you attended 32, your attendance is 32 divided by 36, which is about 88.9%.

Your status is compared against the required percentage you set. Safe means you are at or above the required level. At risk means you are below it by less than 5 points, so a few missed classes can push you down. Below required means you are more than 5 points short and should attend every upcoming class.

Tips to keep attendance high

  • Many schools and colleges require 75% attendance to sit in exams, but always check your own institute rule.
  • If you fall below the required level, the recovery line above shows how many classes in a row you must attend to fix it.
  • Every missed class lowers your percentage more when total classes are few, so early attendance matters most.
  • Recalculate after each class to track your progress toward the required percentage.
