Audio Normalizer
Fix recordings where some parts are too quiet and others too loud. This tool measures the true peak and RMS levels of your audio, applies gentle compression and gain, and exports a balanced file that sounds even at any volume.

How to use
- Choose an audio file and read its measured peak and RMS levels.
- Pick a target peak and compression strength.
- Preview, then export the normalized audio as WAV or MP3.
Normalization here raises overall gain so the loudest peak hits the target, after a dynamics compressor tames spikes. It cannot restore clipped or distorted recordings.
Tips
- Start with Light (3:1) compression and the -1 dB target — it balances most recordings without audible artifacts.
- Check the measured peak and RMS values after loading: a big gap between them means uneven levels that compression helps.
- Save Strong (12:1) compression for podcasts or lectures — it can squash the dynamics of music.
- If the export sounds too loud next to other music, redo it with the gentler -3 dB target.
