Audio Speed and Pitch Changer
Make audio faster or slower from 0.25x to 3x speed, and shift pitch up or down by up to 12 semitones independently. Preview the change, see the new length instantly, then export the result as WAV or MP3.
Changing speed also changes pitch, like classic tape. The pitch slider adds an extra shift on top.
How to use
- Choose an audio file.
- Set the speed and any extra pitch shift, then preview.
- Export the edited audio as WAV or MP3.
Speed is applied by resampling playback in an offline render, so the exported file length changes with speed: 2x is half as long, 0.5x is twice as long.
Tips
- Speed and pitch are linked like an old tape — add an opposite pitch shift to partly undo the chipmunk effect.
- Read the new-length readout before exporting, since 0.5x speed doubles both the length and the file size.
- Moderate changes (0.75x–1.5x) sound most natural; extreme speeds can sound robotic or garbled.
- Export WAV if you will edit the audio again; MP3 is fine for quick sharing.
