Base64 Encode / Decode
Encode any text or file to Base64, or decode Base64 back to readable text — right here in your browser. Files are never uploaded, and full Urdu and Unicode text is supported, so nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
Input: 0 chars | Output: 0 chars
File to Base64
Pick any file (image, PDF, etc.) and get its Base64 / data-URL string. Large files produce very long strings.
Privacy note: Everything is encoded/decoded in your browser — your text and files are never uploaded anywhere.
How to use
- Type or paste text in the Input box and click Encode to Base64.
- To decode, paste a Base64 string and click Decode from Base64 — invalid input shows an error message.
- Use Swap to send the output back to the input for another round.
- For files, choose a file in the File to Base64 section and copy the data-URL or raw Base64 string.
Tips
- Base64 is an encoding, not encryption — anyone can decode it, so never use it for passwords.
- A data URL is just Base64 with a "data:" prefix — paste the whole thing to decode it.
- Encoding makes text about 33% longer; that is normal, not an error.
- Use Swap to feed the output straight back in for a second round of encoding.
