How to use it
- Measure the wall length and height in feet, then choose the wall thickness: 4.5 inch for single brick partition walls or 9 inch for double brick external walls.
- Deduct the area of doors and windows by entering their total area in square feet, so you do not buy extra bricks.
- The tool adds the mortar joint to the brick length and height to get the nominal brick size, then divides the wall volume by it.
- For single brick walls the brick is laid flat with its 9 inch face along the wall; for double brick walls two rows make the 9 inch thickness.
- A 5 percent wastage allowance covers breakage during transport and cutting on site.
