How to use it
- Enter the volume of mortar or concrete you need. For plaster, multiply wall area by plaster thickness to get the volume first.
- Pick a mix ratio. For brickwork use 1:4; for ordinary concrete use 1:2:4; for strong concrete use 1:1.5:3.
- The tool converts wet volume to dry volume using the dry factor, then divides the mix parts to get cement volume, sand volume and the approximate water needed.
- One 50 kg cement bag is treated as 1.225 cubic feet. Water is estimated at a 0.55 water-to-cement ratio per bag.
- Wastage allowance increases all materials so you do not run short on site.
