CNIC Reprint Application Guide
Lost your CNIC or need a fresh copy? This guide explains how to apply for a NADRA CNIC reprint in Pakistan, the fee for each category, the Pak Identity app process, the documents you need, and an estimator for the fee and delivery date.
Fee and processing time by category
| Category | Typical fee (PKR) | Typical processing time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 750 | Around 30 days | Routine replacement with no deadline |
| Urgent | 1,500 | Around 15 days | Job, travel or document deadlines |
| Executive | 2,500 | Around 7 days | Fastest official option |
Typical fees shown. NADRA revises fees from time to time, so confirm the current fee schedule on the official NADRA website before paying.
Fee and delivery date estimator
Choose your card category and application channel, then enter your application date to see the typical fee and expected delivery date.
The channel does not change the official processing time. The app saves travel and waiting time at the centre.
Estimates only. Actual delivery depends on NADRA workload, biometric verification and courier time. Apply early if you have a deadline.
Pak Identity app: step-by-step process
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Install the Pak Identity app. Download it from the official app store on your phone. |
| 2 | Create an account. Register with your mobile number and email address, then verify with the code sent to you. |
| 3 | Start a new application. Choose the CNIC reprint or duplicate option and enter your CNIC number. |
| 4 | Complete biometric verification. Scan your fingerprints using the app or visit a centre for biometric capture if the app asks. |
| 5 | Upload your photo and documents. Take a clear photo as guided by the app and attach any required documents, such as the FIR copy for a lost card. |
| 6 | Pay the fee online. Pay by debit card, credit card or bank transfer within the app and save the payment receipt. |
| 7 | Track and receive. Track the application status in the app. The card is delivered to your address by courier. |
Prefer visiting in person? Take the same documents to the nearest NADRA registration centre, get a token, complete biometrics at the counter, pay the fee and collect the receipt for tracking.

Lost card: file an FIR first
- Visit the nearest police station and file an FIR for the lost or stolen CNIC.
- Keep a copy of the FIR with you. It protects you if someone misuses your card.
- Attach the FIR copy to your NADRA reprint application as supporting proof.
- If the old card is later found, inform NADRA and surrender it so only one valid card exists.
Where the reprint is accepted
- All banks and financial institutions for account opening and transactions.
- Government offices, passport offices and driving licence centres.
- SIM registration and mobile number biometric verification.
- Airports, hotels and any place that accepts the original CNIC.
A NADRA reprint is an official duplicate of your CNIC with the same number and the same validity as the original card.
