Extracted palette 8 colors
How extraction works
Your image is drawn on a small off-screen canvas (64×64) so the analysis is fast. Every pixel is read and sorted into buckets by its red, green and blue values — similar shades land in the same bucket. The buckets with the most pixels win, and each is shown as the average color of its pixels. The result is the 8 colors that cover the most area in your photo, not a random sample.
How to use
- Upload a photo using the file picker.
- The palette of 8 dominant colors appears automatically below the preview.
- Click any swatch to copy its hex code, or use the download button to save the palette as a text file.
Tips
- Images with strong color themes — posters, interiors, nature photos — give the most useful palettes.
- The first swatch is the most dominant color, the last is the least of the eight.
- Hex codes work directly in CSS, Photoshop, Figma and Canva.
