Tournament Net Run Rate
NRR = (runs scored ÷ overs faced) − (runs conceded ÷ overs bowled). Enter overs in decimal cricket notation, for example 47.2 means 47 overs and 2 balls.
Note: If a team is all out before its full quota of overs, standard tournament rules count the full quota of overs for NRR. For example, a team bowled out in 40 overs of a 50-over match counts as 50 overs faced. Adjust your overs totals accordingly before entering them.

How net run rate works
- Formula: NRR = (runs scored ÷ overs faced) − (runs conceded ÷ overs bowled).
- Decimal overs: 12.3 means 12 overs and 3 balls, which is 75 balls or 12.50 overs. This matters, because entering 12.3 as 12.30 overs would give a wrong answer.
- Sign: A positive NRR means your team scores faster than it concedes. A negative NRR means the opposite.
- Tie-breaker: Teams level on points in a tournament table are usually ranked by net run rate, highest first.
