How to use
- Enter how many customers you had at the start of the month, quarter or year.
- Enter how many customers you have now, plus any new ones gained (optional).
- Press Calculate Churn Rate to see the percentage lost and a plain English verdict.
Formula: churn = (customers lost ÷ customers at start) × 100. Lost = start + new − end.
Tips
- Measure churn monthly — a yearly number hides problems until it is too late.
- A single bad month can be seasonal; watch the trend over 3 months.
- High churn with strong sales means you are filling a leaky bucket — fix retention first.
- Call a few lost customers each month and record why they left.
