How it works
- Add each customer with a name (phone number is optional).
- Select a customer and record every credit given or payment received with date and note.
- The balance updates live and the customer list stays sorted by highest amount owed.
- Use Export CSV to download any customer statement for Excel or Google Sheets.
Data is stored only in this browser using localStorage. Clearing browser data will remove your records, so export CSV statements regularly as a backup.
Frequently asked questions
It is a free digital credit ledger book for shopkeepers. You add customers, record credit given and payments received, and the tool keeps a running balance for each customer plus the total amount outstanding across everyone.
Select a customer, choose Credit given for goods sold on credit or Payment received for money paid back, then enter the amount, date and an optional note. The customer balance updates immediately.
The customer list is sorted by highest balance owed first, so the customers with the largest unpaid amounts always appear at the top. A summary bar also shows total outstanding and customers with unpaid balances.
Yes. Open a customer, then use the Export CSV button to download that customer full transaction statement including every credit and payment with dates and notes, which opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
