Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How is my daily water target calculated?

The base target is your weight in kilograms times 35 ml. The tool then adds water for your activity level and for pregnancy or breastfeeding, and increases the total by 20 percent when you pick the hot-humid climate option.

How do activity level and climate change the result?

Sedentary adds nothing, light activity adds 350 ml, moderate activity adds 700 ml and intense activity adds 1200 ml. The hot-humid climate option multiplies the whole target by 1.20, which suits very hot days and outdoor work.

How does the pregnancy or breastfeeding option work?

Pregnancy adds 350 ml per day and breastfeeding adds 700 ml per day to the target, on top of the weight and activity amounts. Pick the none option if neither applies to you.

How should I spread the water through the day?

One glass is counted as 250 ml. The tool builds an hourly sipping schedule across 16 waking hours, from 7 AM to 10 PM, so you drink a steady amount each hour instead of all at once.

Is this water target medical advice?

No. It is an estimate for information only, not medical advice. If you have a health condition, take medication or are unsure, talk to a doctor about how much water you should drink.
