Check your monitor, laptop or phone screen for dead and stuck pixels. The screen fills with a solid color — look closely for any tiny dot that stays black on bright colors, or stays lit on black.
Instructions
Press Start Test below.
Use the color buttons, or press the left and right arrow keys, to cycle through Black, White, Red, Green, Blue and the checkerboard pattern.
Look carefully at the whole screen on each color. A dead pixel stays black on bright colors; a stuck pixel stays lit on the black screen.
Use Fullscreen so the color reaches the edges and corners.
Press Exit Test or the Esc key to return to this page.
What to look for
Dead pixel: a dot that stays black on the white, red, green and blue screens.
Stuck pixel: a dot that stays lit (often red, green or blue) on the black screen.
Checkerboard: use the pattern screen to spot sub-pixel problems and grid alignment issues.
Test the screen at your normal viewing distance, then look closely at any suspicious spot.
