Env File Generator
Build a clean .env file from key value pairs with section headers and comments. Start from a Laravel, Node or Docker preset, or from scratch — keys are aligned, values are quoted only when needed, and your rows are saved in this browser.
Presets:
| Row type | Key / Section / Comment | Value |
|---|
Generated .env
How to use
- Add rows: choose Variable for a key value pair, Section for a header, or Comment for a note line.
- Type keys in UPPER_SNAKE_CASE and fill in values. Invalid keys are flagged in the warning box.
- Copy the file or download it as
.envand place it in your project root. Never commit real secrets to version control.
Note: Values containing spaces or a hash sign are wrapped in quotes automatically. Empty values are kept as KEY= so you can fill them in later. This is a formatting aid; always confirm required keys against your framework documentation.
Tips
- Group related keys under sections like Database or Mail so the file stays readable as it grows.
- Keep a commented example value next to tricky keys, for example the format of a database URL.
- Generate a fresh APP_KEY with your framework command instead of reusing one from an example.
