Your Daily Result
- Buy early in the morning. Fresher stock from the first mandi auction lasts longer and gets better prices through the day.
- Sort ripe and raw items at the stall. Keep soft and hard items apart so one spoiled piece does not damage the rest.
- Shade and sprinkle in summer. A wet cloth shade and light water sprinkling keep leafy vegetables fresh for hours without cost.
- Discount near closing time. Selling at a small margin at 7 PM beats throwing the stock away at 9 PM.
- Buy only what the day sells. An extra 20 kg bought for a small saving can rot into a loss. Track what actually sold each day.
- Reprice weekly. When mandi rates jump, your selling price must follow, or the margin quietly disappears.

How to use
- Add every item you bought: name, quantity in kg, mandi rate per kg, estimated wastage percent and your selling price per kg.
- Enter your daily fixed expenses: stall rent, transport to the mandi and helper wages.
- Click Calculate Daily Profit to see per-item profit, total revenue, total cost, net daily profit and profit margin percent.
- Use the wastage tips to cut spoilage. Saving even 3% of wastage on Rs 10,000 of stock is Rs 300 extra profit a day.
How the calculation works
Sellable quantity for each item is purchase quantity multiplied by (100 minus wastage percent) divided by 100. Revenue is sellable quantity times selling price. Item profit is revenue minus purchase cost. Total profit is the sum of all item profits minus daily fixed expenses. Profit margin percent is net daily profit divided by total revenue, times 100. Estimated monthly profit assumes 30 similar selling days.
Note: this is a planning estimate. Real profit depends on actual wastage, bargaining by customers and items you give away or eat from the stock.
