GIF Compressor
Oversized GIFs slow pages and eat mobile data. Drop your GIF here to shrink its file size in your browser — nothing is uploaded — by adjusting width, quality and frames, then compare and download the result.
How it works: this tool takes out all frames of the GIF, shrinks them and encodes them again. 3 ways to cut the size: smaller width, lighter quality, or skipping some frames.

Only .gif files — max 20 MB
How to use
- Select your GIF file.
- Choose width, quality and frames — smaller width and low quality = smaller size.
- Press Compress GIF, see the difference and download.
Privacy note: your GIF is never uploaded to a server — everything happens in your browser.
Tips
- Reduce the width first — it usually shrinks the file more than lowering quality, with less visible damage.
- Removing every second frame halves the size but makes motion choppier; try it only for short loops.
- Keep a copy of the original — recompressing an already compressed GIF makes it look worse each time.
- GIFs are bad for photos; for real images, convert to video instead for far smaller files.
