How golden hour is defined
Golden hour is the time when the sun is low in the sky, between 4° below the horizon and 6° above it. The light is warm, soft and long-shadowed, which is why photographers love it. It happens once after sunrise and once before sunset.
Blue hour is the twilight period just before golden hour in the morning and just after it in the evening, when the sun is between 6° and 4° below the horizon. The sky takes on a deep blue color.
