Definite Integral Calculator
Compute definite integrals of polynomials with the full working shown. Enter the coefficients, set the lower and upper limits, and get the antiderivative plus the F(b) minus F(a) evaluation - handy for checking calculus homework.
How to use
- Write the coefficients separated by commas, with 0 for missing powers.
- Enter the limits a and b.
- The result is given in decimal form.
Tips
- List coefficients from the highest power down, and use 0 for any missing power (for example 3, 0, -2 for 3x squared minus 2).
- A negative limit works fine - just type the minus sign in the limit box.
- If the result is zero over a symmetric interval, check whether the function is odd; the tool's steps will confirm it.
- This handles polynomials only; for trig or exponential functions you will need a different tool.
Note: This tool only does the definite integral of polynomials (the reverse of the power rule). Trig or exponential functions are not included.
