How to apply — step by step

  1. Send the SMS: type PKC, a space, then your 13-digit CNIC number (example: PKC 3520212345678) and send it to 8070 from the SIM registered on your CNIC.
  2. Wait for confirmation: you receive an SMS telling you whether you pass the initial eligibility check.
  3. Bank verification: visit your nearest Bank of Punjab branch with your original CNIC and land record (fard). Complete biometric verification there.
  4. Collect your card: once verified, collect the Kisan Card, set your PIN, and activate it.
  5. Buy inputs: use the card at registered dealers for fertilizer, seeds and pesticides.
  6. Repay on time: repay after harvest within the season window to stay eligible and qualify for rewards.

A Punjab resident with a valid CNIC who owns 1 to 12.5 acres of agricultural land recorded with the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA), uses a mobile SIM registered on their own CNIC, and is not a bank defaulter. Final approval is done through digital verification by the authorities.

About Rs 30,000 per acre, up to a maximum of Rs 150,000 per crop season. The loan carries zero markup and is repaid after the crop harvest, usually within six months plus a one-month grace period.
