How the check works

International UPU S10 tracking numbers have 13 characters: 2 letters + 8-digit serial + 1 check digit + 2-letter country code.

  • Check digit: the 8 serial digits are multiplied by weights 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 from left to right. The sum is taken mod 11, then the check digit is 11 minus the remainder. A remainder of 1 gives check digit 0; a remainder of 0 gives check digit 5.
  • Service letter: the first letter shows the mail service — E = EMS express mail, R = registered mail, C = parcel post, L = letter post / e-packet, V = insured mail.
  • Country code: the last two letters are the origin country, for example PK for Pakistan.

Domestic Pakistan Post codes may not follow the S10 format. A format failure here may still be a genuine domestic code — confirm with your receipt or at the post office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Enter the code and the checker verifies it against the UPU S10 format: two letters, nine digits with a valid check digit, and a two letter country code. It flags typing mistakes instantly.

The first letter identifies the mail service. E means EMS express mail, R means registered mail, C means parcel post, L means letter post, and V means insured mail.

After the checker confirms the format, track the parcel on the official Pakistan Post tracking page using the same tracking code.

Yes, it is free with no signup.

Note: This tool validates the format and check digit of the code. It cannot show the live location of your parcel — only the official Pakistan Post tracking page can do that.
