Percentile Calculator
See where a value stands inside your data set. Paste your numbers to find the percentile rank of any value, or enter a percentile like 90 to find the value sitting at that position. Both directions work on the same page.
—
How to use
- Enter your numbers separated by space or comma.
- Type value X — its percentile rank will appear.
- Type percentile P (for example 90) — the value at that position will appear.
- Percentile rank and percentile value are two different things; both are shown in separate rows.
Note: Percentile value uses linear interpolation (the modern standard method, not nearest-rank). Formula for rank: (below count + 0.5 x equal count) / n x 100.
Tips
- The 50th percentile is the median of your data set.
- Percentile rank (where a value stands) and percentile value (what sits at a position) are different questions.
- Check your numbers for typos before calculating — one wrong value shifts the result.
