Good to know
- Net earning equals gross income minus fuel cost minus maintenance — fuel is usually the biggest cost.
- Compare the per-hour figure with local daily-wage rates to judge if the hours are worth it.
- Electric qingqis have much lower running cost but higher purchase price — include that trade-off when deciding.
- Keep 1 to 2 months of maintenance money aside; tyre and engine repairs come in bursts.
Formulas: Gross daily = Trips x Fare. Fuel cost = Fuel used x Price. Net daily = Gross daily - Fuel cost - Maintenance. Net monthly = Net daily x Working days.
