WiFi QR Code Generator
Typing long WiFi passwords is slow and error-prone. Enter your network details below, generate a QR code, print it or show it on screen, and guests join your WiFi with one scan.
Network details
Leave blank if the network is open.
Your QR code
Scan this with a phone camera to join the network. Everything is generated in your browser; your password is never sent anywhere.
Enter your network details and press Generate QR code.
How to use
- Type your WiFi network name exactly as it appears, including capitals and spaces.
- Choose the security type. Most home routers use WPA / WPA2.
- Enter the password and tick the hidden-network box only if your network does not broadcast its name.
- Press Generate QR code, then test it by scanning with your phone camera.
- Press Download PNG to save a clean image you can print and stick on a fridge or wall.
Tips
- SSID is case-sensitive. "HomeWiFi" and "homewifi" are different networks, so copy it exactly.
- Special characters like semicolons and colons in the name or password are escaped automatically.
- For a guest network, create a separate SSID on your router and share only that one.
- A printed QR code on card stock lasts years and saves you from repeating the password every visit.
