How to use
- Pick a key size. 2048 bit is the recommended default; 4096 bit is stronger but takes longer to generate.
- Click Generate key pair and wait a few seconds.
- Copy or download the public key to share with others, and save the private key in a safe place.
Note
The keys use RSASSA-PKCS1-v1_5 with SHA-256, the standard format accepted by SSH tools, OpenSSL and most servers. Nothing is uploaded to any server: generation happens with your browser's built-in cryptography, which uses secure random numbers. Always guard your private key — anyone who has it can pretend to be you.
