Rubric Generator
Create a clear grading rubric for any assignment: set three to six performance levels, add weighted criteria rows, and print or copy the finished table for your class.
1. Rubric details
2. Criteria rows
| Criterion (weight %) | Description per level |
|---|
3. Finished rubric
Add at least one criterion above to see the finished rubric here.
How to use
- Type a title for the assignment.
- Choose how many performance levels you want (3 to 6), then edit each level name and its points.
- Add criteria rows — for example Grammar, Content, Presentation.
- Give each criterion a weight in percent (weights should total 100).
- Write a short description of what each level looks like for every criterion.
- Preview the rubric, then print it or copy it as plain text.
Note: the total points and weighted score are calculated automatically from your levels. If criterion weights do not add up to 100, a warning is shown so you can fix them before printing. Your rubric is saved in this browser only while the page is open — nothing is uploaded.
Tips
- Keep weights adding up to 100 so the final score stays simple.
- Write level descriptions as observable actions, not vague praise.
- Three levels suit quick marking; six levels suit detailed feedback.
