Shop Rent Affordability Calculator
Find out how much monthly rent your shop can afford based on your revenue and profit margin, and test any quoted rent before you sign a lease.
A widely used rule for small shops is to keep rent at 10% or less of monthly revenue. A 10,000 PKR rent on 100,000 PKR revenue is healthy; 25,000 PKR rent on the same revenue leaves almost no room for costs.
How it works: gross profit = revenue × margin. The rule-based max rent is revenue × your chosen rent %. Break-even rent is the rent where your profit hits zero: gross profit − fixed costs. Anything above it means a monthly loss. The verdict uses the same logic: if the quoted rent is at or under the rule, it is Affordable; between the rule and break-even it is Tight; above break-even it is Not affordable.
