Speed Distance Time Calculator
Enter any two of the three values — the third one will be calculated by itself. You can also choose your own units; conversion is automatic.
Tip: leave the third box empty to calculate it. If all three are filled, their consistency is checked.
Enter any two values — the third one will appear here.
How it works
The three basic formulas are: Speed = Distance ÷ Time, Distance = Speed × Time and Time = Distance ÷ Speed. The calculator first converts all values to metres and seconds, does the calculation, then shows the answer in every common unit.
Example 1: 100 km distance, 50 km/h speed — Time = 100 ÷ 50 = 2 hours.
Example 2: travelling 30 minutes at 60 km/h gives Distance = 60 × 0.5 = 30 km. Remember: 1 m/s = 3.6 km/h.
How to use
- Enter any two of the three values: speed, distance and time.
- Choose your units from the dropdowns — km/h, m/s, mph, km, m, miles, hours, minutes or seconds.
- The third value is calculated automatically, with the formula and extra unit breakdowns shown below the result.
