INNER JOIN returns only rows that match in both tables. LEFT JOIN returns every row from the left table, and fills in NULL where the right table has no match.
An anti join returns rows from one table that have no match in the other table, for example customers who placed no orders. It uses a LEFT JOIN with a WHERE ... IS NULL filter.
