- Measure the floor to floor height: from the finished lower floor to the finished upper floor, in cm.
- Enter your target riser height (17.5 cm is a common choice for homes).
- Enter your tread depth (26 cm is a common choice).
- Press Calculate Stair Design. Read the warnings: if the riser is above 20 cm or the tread is below 24 cm, adjust your inputs and calculate again.
