Note: Ushr has no nisab (no minimum threshold) and becomes due at the time of harvest, not after one lunar year.
How to use

Good to know
- Rain-fed or river-fed crops: 10 percent (one tenth) of the harvest.
- Crops watered with tube wells, canals you pay for, or other artificial means: 5 percent (one twentieth).
- Crops with both sources: a middle rate of 7.5 percent is commonly used.
- Unlike cash zakat, Ushr is due on the crop itself at harvest time — you do not wait a full year.
