How to use
- Pick your Fitzpatrick skin type and the current UV index from your weather app.
- Choose how much skin is exposed and your age group.
- Your estimated minutes and the safe upper limit appear instantly.
Note: Minutes are for midday sun (roughly 10 AM to 3 PM). Early morning or late evening sun has much less UV and makes little vitamin D.
Tips
- Expose skin in short regular sessions instead of one long burn-risk session.
- Do not try to catch up by overexposing — sunburn damages skin and does not speed up vitamin D.
- In winter months at low UV, food and supplements are often the reliable sources.
