Work out the zakat due on your bank savings and deposits. Enter your balances, add other zakatable assets, subtract liabilities, and the tool checks the nisab and applies 2.5 percent.

Defaults use current site rates: 3400 PKR per tola silver and 285000 PKR per tola gold. Update the threshold with market rates on the day you calculate.

How it works

  1. Enter your total bank balance across all accounts plus other zakatable assets such as cash in hand or savings certificates.
  2. Subtract liabilities and debts that are due now to get net zakatable wealth.
  3. The tool compares net wealth with the nisab threshold. If it is at or above nisab, zakat of 2.5 percent is due on the net amount.

This is a calculation guide, not a religious ruling. Zakat rules have conditions such as holding the wealth for one lunar year and personal use exemptions. For edge cases such as joint accounts, frozen funds, business stock or loans, consult a qualified scholar before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

What does the zakat bank deposit calculator do?

What is the nisab and can I change the amount?

The nisab is the minimum wealth above which zakat becomes due. Choose the silver or the gold nisab standard. The PKR amount is editable so you can match current market rates.
