Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does the pattern finder work?
Every log entry records a suspected trigger, your symptoms and a severity score from 1 to 5. The tracker counts all entries and shows your most common trigger, your most common symptom, your average severity, and the trigger-symptom pair that appears together most often.
Where is my allergy log stored?
Your log is saved only in your own browser using local storage. Nothing is uploaded to any server. If you clear your browser data or switch browsers, the log will not carry over, so use the CSV export for a permanent copy.
What triggers and symptoms can I log?
You can pick from pollen, dust, pet dander, dust mites, dairy, nuts, seafood, perfume or chemicals, or type your own trigger. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, skin rash or hives, coughing or wheezing, stomach upset, headache and swelling. Each entry also takes a severity score, an optional medication note and free notes.
Can I share my log with my doctor?
Yes. The export button downloads your full log as a CSV file with date, trigger, symptoms, severity, medication and notes. You can open it in any spreadsheet app, print it, or send it to your doctor before an appointment.
Does this tracker diagnose my allergy?
No. It is a diary that helps you spot patterns for discussion with a professional, not a diagnosis tool. Only a doctor with proper testing can diagnose an allergy or recommend treatment, so seek medical advice for severe or worsening symptoms.
