How the bill is calculated
Gas tariffs in Pakistan use progressive slabs: your consumption is charged slab by slab, so only the units inside each slab pay that slab rate. For example, with 1.2 HM3 on the non-protected table, the first 0.25 HM3 is charged at the Slab 1 rate, the next 0.25 at the Slab 2 rate, the next 0.5 at the Slab 3 rate and the remaining 0.2 at the Slab 4 rate. The fixed charges (meter rent) are added on top to get the estimated total.
The Protected category applies to residential consumers whose consumption stays within the protected limits, with lower rates. Once consumption exceeds the protected threshold, the higher non-protected rates apply. Always confirm which category is printed on your latest gas bill.

What is included in the estimated total?
The estimate includes slab energy charges plus the editable fixed charges / meter rent field. Taxes, surcharges and arrears from your bill are not included.
