WAPDA Electricity Complaint Guide

Pick your DISCO and complaint type, fill the details, and get a ready-to-copy complaint text plus the exact steps to file it on helpline 118, the online portal, or at the local office.

1. Your DISCO and helpline

Select a DISCO — the helpline will appear here.

2. Complaint draft builder

Fill this in, then copy the draft and paste it into the online portal or read it out on the helpline. Nothing is submitted from this page.

Press "Generate draft" — your complaint text will appear here.

3. Filing and tracking steps

  1. Call 118 (or your DISCO's 111-000-118 line) with your bill in hand. Note the complaint / ticket number — you need it for every follow-up.
  2. Or file online: open your DISCO's e-complaint portal (linked from the DISCO's official website), paste the draft text, and save the reference number.
  3. Track it: use the complaint number on the portal or helpline. Ask for the expected resolution time and the name of the attending office.
  4. Follow up in person if needed: visit the local SDO (sub-divisional officer) or XEN (executive engineer) office with your complaint number and bill copies.
  5. Escalate if unresolved: file with NEPRA's complaint cell or the Wafaqi Mohtasib (federal ombudsman) — both take electricity service complaints free of charge.

Tips that get faster action

  • Report safety hazards (sparking wires, fallen poles) as urgent — DISCOs prioritise these.
  • For billing disputes, attach photos of your meter reading with the date visible.
  • Never pay a "lineman fee" to lodge a complaint — official complaints are free.
  • Keep a written log: date, complaint number, and the name of the person you spoke to.

How to use

  1. Select your DISCO and complaint type — the correct helpline appears below.
  2. Fill the draft builder fields and press "Generate draft", then "Copy draft".
  3. Paste the draft into the DISCO online portal or read it out when you call 118.

This is a guide with a draft builder, not an official complaint channel: nothing on this page is submitted to any DISCO. Helpline numbers change, so confirm the current numbers on your DISCO's official website before calling. For anything life-threatening — fallen high-voltage lines, fire, shock — call the DISCO emergency line or the national emergency number immediately instead of filing an online complaint.
