How a WASA water bill is made

Water and Sanitation Agencies bill on a flat monthly tariff that depends on two things: the consumer category (domestic or commercial) and the connection size. A bigger connection means a higher monthly charge, and commercial connections pay a higher rate than domestic ones of the same size. On top of the water charges, WASA adds a sewerage surcharge — in Lahore this is set at 50 percent of the water charges. Your final bill is water charges for the billing months plus the sewerage surcharge on that amount.

If your bill covers more than one month, enter the number of months and the tool multiplies the monthly amounts for you. If your city charges a different sewerage percentage, edit the surcharge field and the total updates instantly.

Commercial connections are used for shops, offices and industry, which consume more water and use the network differently. WASA therefore applies a higher tariff band to them than to domestic households.
