Frequently asked questions
You need a valid original CNIC or SNIC, a CNIC copy, recent proof of income such as a salary slip or employer letter, proof of your current address such as a recent utility bill, and recent passport-size photographs. Business accounts also need business registration documents such as an NTN certificate or sole proprietorship registration.
Banks generally require a valid, non-expired CNIC or SNIC to open an account under State Bank of Pakistan rules. An expired CNIC is usually not accepted, so renew it at NADRA before visiting the branch.
A minor or student account needs the child\u2019s B-Form issued by NADRA, the CNIC copy of the parent or guardian, a school or college admission slip or student card, recent photographs of the child, and the parent\u2019s utility bill as address proof.
Form CZ-50 is a Zakat exemption declaration. If you are not liable for Zakat deduction on your account, you submit this form at account opening so that Zakat is not deducted from your balance.
Under State Bank of Pakistan rules, banks must verify the source of funds of their customers. A salary slip, employer letter, pension slip, business income record or tax return helps the bank complete this verification.
