Tips

  • Behbood profit is paid monthly, so the monthly figure is the one most investors watch.

  • Maturity value here is your principal plus total profit over the tenure you entered.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How is the monthly profit calculated?

Monthly profit equals the investment amount multiplied by the annual profit rate you enter, divided by 12. For example, 1,000,000 PKR at 12 percent a year gives 10,000 PKR per month before tax.

Why is the profit rate editable instead of fixed?

Behbood Savings profit rates are revised by the government from time to time. The rate field is prefilled with an example value only, so you can type the current official rate before calculating.

What does the tenure field change?

Tenure in months sets how many monthly payments are added up to give the total profit, and the maturity value is the investment amount plus that total profit.

What does the tax field do?

The optional withholding tax percent is deducted from each monthly profit payment. Enter 0 for no deduction, or the rate that applies to your filer status, since tax rules can change.

Is this the official Behbood profit figure?

No. This is an estimate based on the rate you enter. Always confirm the current official rate and terms with National Savings of Pakistan before investing.
