Court Fee Calculator Pakistan
Estimate the court fee payable when filing a civil suit in Pakistan. The fee is calculated ad valorem — a percentage that rises and falls across bands of your claim value — using the transparent slab table shown below, plus a small process (summons) fee.

Effective rate: 0.00% of the claim value.

Ad valorem court fee slab table (estimate model)
| Value band (PKR) | Rate applied to this band |
|---|---|
| Up to 100,000 | 7.5% |
| 100,001 – 500,000 | 5.0% |
| 500,001 – 2,000,000 | 3.5% |
| Above 2,000,000 | 2.0% |
How it works: the fee is computed on each band separately and added up. For a claim of Rs 600,000 you pay 7.5% on the first 100,000, 5% on the next 400,000 and 3.5% on the remaining 100,000 — not 3.5% on the whole amount.
What is court fee for?
A court fee is the fee paid to the government when a civil suit is filed. It goes with the plaint, and the court office checks it before the case is registered. The fee is ad valorem — it depends on the value of the claim, suit, or relief asked for. In some fixed types of cases (for example injunctions or declarations) a fixed fee is charged instead.
- Undervaluation can delay your case — the office can ask you to pay the shortfall.
- If you win, the losing party may be ordered to bear the court fee as part of the costs.
- Appeals carry their own court fee, usually calculated on the same slab table.
