TOU Tariff Calculator Pakistan
Estimate your monthly electricity bill under Pakistan's Time-of-Use (TOU) tariff. Enter your peak and off-peak units, compare with the standard single tariff, and see how much shifting usage to off-peak hours could save you.
- Peak hours are the evening hours when national electricity demand is highest — typically 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Off-peak hours cover the rest of the day and night, when power is cheapest. Running heavy appliances (water motors, washing machines, ironing, EV charging) during off-peak hours lowers the bill.
- The exact peak window can vary by season and DISCO. Always check your own DISCO's current TOU schedule.
- TOU tariff needs a compatible meter and is offered to domestic and commercial consumers on request at most DISCOs.
How to use
- Enter your monthly peak units and off-peak units from your TOU meter or previous bill.
- Adjust the peak, off-peak and normal tariff rates if you know your DISCO's current rates (defaults are estimates).
- Click Calculate TOU Bill to see the TOU bill, the standard-tariff bill for the same units, and your estimated savings.
How the estimate is calculated
The TOU bill is peak units multiplied by the peak rate plus off-peak units multiplied by the off-peak rate. The standard-tariff bill is total units multiplied by the normal single tariff. Estimated saving is the difference between the two. Fixed charges, fuel price adjustment, duties and taxes are not included, so the real bill will differ.
