Other EOBI pension types
- Invalidity pension: paid to an insured worker who can no longer work because of a permanent disability, subject to EOBI medical and service conditions.
- Survivors pension: paid to the widow, widower or eligible children of a deceased insured worker or pensioner, at the rates EOBI announces.
- Contributions: while employed, the employer pays 6% and the worker pays 1% of the minimum wage into EOBI — so your record of contributions is what counts.
