Important disclaimer

All rates on this page are indicative estimates only and may change with new FBR notifications. Actual tax depends on the exact transaction, thresholds, exemptions and your taxpayer status.

  • Verify the current official rate with the FBR website or a qualified tax consultant before making any payment or decision.
  • Rates differ by transaction type — overwrite the rate fields with the exact rate that applies to your case.
  • This tool does not file tax returns and does not give tax advice.

Why filers pay less

Pakistan charges higher withholding tax on non-filers to encourage tax compliance. Becoming a filer by submitting your income tax return and appearing on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) generally lowers the rate on the same transactions.

How to use

  1. Select the transaction type and enter the transaction amount in rupees — the comparison updates live.
  2. Edit the filer and non-filer rate fields if you know the exact current rates for your case.
  3. Read the indicative saving row to see how much less tax a filer would pay on that transaction.

Notes: Indicative estimates only. Thresholds such as the daily cash withdrawal limit are not applied here — the rate simply multiplies the entered amount.
