About SWIFT codes

A SWIFT (BIC) code identifies a bank in international money transfers. The 8-character code shown here is the bank head-office code.

  • 8 characters (e.g. MEZNPKKA) = head office of the bank.
  • 11 characters (e.g. MEZNPKKAXXX) = the same code with a branch suffix. XXX means the primary/head office and is accepted by most transfer forms.
  • Branch-specific codes replace XXX with 3 letters, e.g. KHI for a Karachi branch.
Always confirm the exact SWIFT code with your bank or the recipient before sending money. Codes are verified against public SWIFT directories, but banks can update them.

How to use

  1. Type part of the bank name in the search box — results filter instantly.
  2. Press the Copy button next to the bank you need.
  3. Paste the code into your bank or transfer-service form. If the form asks for 11 characters, add XXX to the 8-character code.
