Pension Increase Calculator (Pakistan)
Find out how much your monthly pension grows after a government-announced increase. Enter your current pension and the ad hoc relief percentage to see the new pension amount, the monthly and annual increase, and an estimate of arrears for any number of months.
Note: Pension increases are announced in federal and provincial budgets each year, so the percentage changes from year to year. The default below is 10% as an editable example — change it to the officially notified figure. Please verify with the relevant Finance Division notification before relying on the result.

How this works: the new pension is current pension + (current pension × increase%). Annual increase is the monthly gain × 12 × number of years, and arrears is the monthly gain × arrears months. Some notifications exclude certain components or fix a minimum pension, so confirm the official formula in the notification before using these figures.
How to use
- Enter your current monthly pension amount.
- Enter the ad hoc relief or pension increase percentage announced in the budget.
- Set how many years the increase applies to, and any arrears months if payment was delayed.
- Press Calculate Pension Increase to see the revised pension and arrears estimate.
Frequently asked questions
Pension increases are announced in the federal and provincial budgets by the Finance Division or the respective provincial finance departments. The percentage is usually notified after the budget through an official memorandum, which is why this calculator keeps the rate editable.
Ad hoc relief is an additional percentage increase granted on the existing pension on top of regular pensions. It is announced periodically, usually with the budget, and is added to the monthly pension amount.
Arrears are the increase amount for each month the revised pension was not yet paid. This calculator multiplies the monthly gain by the number of arrears months you enter. Actual arrears depend on the effective date given in the official notification.
The increase is normally applied on the gross monthly pension before deductions such as commutation recovery or benevolent fund contributions. This calculator uses the amount you enter as the base, so enter the gross figure for the closest match.
