Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is a rent advance tracker?
A rent advance tracker records the advance payments a tenant has made and deducts each month of rent from that advance, so you can see how much of the advance is used and how much balance is left.
Can I add more than one advance payment?
Yes. Use the add payment button to record every advance payment with its amount and date, and the ledger adds them all to the total advance.
How are the months covered calculated?
The tool divides the total advance by the monthly rent to find how many full months of rent the advance can cover.
Does the tracker show a month by month breakdown?
Yes. The schedule table shows each rental month, the rent for that month, how much was paid from the advance, and the balance left after it.
Is my data saved anywhere?
No. All entries stay in your browser for the current session and are never sent to a server or stored.
