How it works
- Enter your total annual rental income in PKR.
- Choose the owner type: Individual, Company, or AOP.
- Select filer or non-filer. The published slabs apply the same way to both.
- For individuals, tax is charged slab by slab (not a flat rate on the whole amount). Companies and AOPs use the flat reference rate.
- Your yearly tax, monthly equivalent, and net annual income appear instantly.
This tool gives an estimate based on the published slabs shown above. Rates can change, so confirm the final figure with the FBR or a tax consultant before filing.
Frequently asked questions
Is rental income taxed slab by slab or as a flat rate?
For individuals it is slab by slab: each part of the income is taxed at its own slab rate, which is lower than applying the top rate to the whole amount.
What rate do companies pay on rental income?
Companies and AOPs pay a flat rate on rental income. The calculator shows it as a 15 percent reference rate that you can edit.
Does being a non-filer increase the rental tax?
No. The published rental income slabs are the same for filers and non-filers; the status field is shown for your record only.
Is this an official tax calculation?
No. It is an estimate based on the published slabs, meant for planning only. Always confirm with official FBR guidance or a tax professional.
